Tom
Flynn, P.E., PMP

Consultant
A founding partner and Vice President of Consulting
Services at Advanced Management Services, Inc., Tom has
initiated and spearheaded the development of the Project
and Program Management Division which helped transform
AMS into its current position as a leader in the Project
Management Consulting and Training industry.
In addition to his
technical project management competencies, he also
utilizes his extensive training and experience in
conflict management-resolution, change management and
human development to successfully coach and mentor
senior executives, project managers and project team
personnel.
A recognized subject matter expert in the field of human
development, Tom currently works with a wide range of
clients from CEOs to project team resources in formal
coaching and mentoring programs. 35+ years in the
martial and cultural arts, coupled with his experience
with, understanding of, and formal training in the
behavioral psychology field, he has developed a keen
intuitive sense and a direct and effective approach. |
John
Slack, MBA, PMP
Principal Consultant
John has over 30 years of experience in business
development and project management. For the past decade
he has focused his time on a mixture of active project
management and the development for project management
training.
His
projects ranged from retail to high tech sectors
including the planning and rollout of business strategy
for companies such as Digital Equipment Corp and Intel,
to the development and rollout of software applications
for companies such as DirectTV, Motorola, and American
Airlines.
John’s management experience has ranged from large
companies such as United Brands and Digital Equipment
Corp to small start-ups such as Software International
and The Cushing Group. He has published a number of
articles as well as one book on business process
analysis, “Business Architecture Methodology, an
approach to planning and control.”

Rob
Cimini, PMP
Principal Consultant
Rob Cimini has over 30 years of diverse manufacturing
experience with companies serving the biopharma,
automotive, aerospace, agricultural, OEM, plastics
molding, and specialty machinery markets. During that
span Rob has held positions from process engineer
through plant management with small privately owned
operations through large multiple division corporations.
As a plant
manager, Rob directed the operations of a manufacturing
profit center in plastics molding and finishing. He has
managed and directed resources in production control,
materials management, plant maintenance, new technology
development and environmental health and safety.
As a
principal consultant, Rob uses his years of operations
experience and project management expertise to support
solutions for clients who are experiencing unpredictable
outcomes from company critical initiatives such as new

Jeff
Stempien, MBA, PMP
Principal Consultant
Jeff is a business professional and consultant with 30
years of experience in transportation, logistics, and
supply chain management. He has held senior and
executive positions with leading transportation service
providers and was most recently the Director of European
Logistics for a leading chemical company based in
Lausanne, Switzerland. His practical experience includes
direct management of large international integrated
transportation services, coordination of global supply
chain networks, and new business development. One of his
last assignments was to lead a project team in the
complete analysis of the transportation infrastructure
of the Republic of Russia for the US Department of
State.
Jeff has over 15 years of direct sales and sales
management experience within real estate, insurance,
retail, and service sectors.
In addition to being a Vice President of Sales
and Marketing for a $25 Million dollar logistic services
company, Jeff held a Senior Business Development
Director position at CSX Transportation.
Jeff was also responsible for bring a European
Start-up to the $10 Million Dollar annual revenue

Debora has over 25 years experience as a manager, human
resources consultant, and project manager. She has
extensive experience in the design and implementation of
human resource management processes. Much of her current
organizational consulting takes places at the
intersection of diversity and managerial effectiveness.
Her diversity work includes helping organizations
structure their diversity processes; designing and
facilitating diversity training for executives, managers
and staff; guiding diversity councils; providing
harassment prevention training; and building
cross-cultural understanding.
Her U.S.-based and international work has
involved organization assessments, team building,
management development and consultation, improving
employee selection processes, change management,
performance management systems, project management and
training of trainers.

Principal Consultant
Ed holds a
Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering form the
University of Arkansas, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Business Administration from Benedictine College in
Atchison, KS, and is a certified Project Management
Professional (PMP) with the Project Management
Institute. Ed is also a Certified Military Community
Executive (CMCE) with the International Military
Community Executives Association, and has been the
President of the International Organization and the
Washington, D.C. Chapter.
Ed is a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer with 21 years
of active duty serving in Viet Nam, Germany, Hawaii,
Saudi Arabia and numerous state-side military posts. Ed
retired from the US Federal Civil Service as a GS-15
Information Technology Capital Asset Investment Analyst.
He has been an Adjunct College Professor for over 20
years teaching for Park University, Aspen University
Graduate Program in Project Management, Big Bend
Community College, Kansas City Kansas Community College
and Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute.

Ernie has over 40 years of experience in the information
technology industry with expertise in project

Fred’s 20-year
executive career includes Vice President, CQO or CMO at
Western Digital, Toshiba and Kodak. He has successfully
led international cross-functional teams of every level
in Quality, Operations and Service. Among his
achievements are developing and directing international
teams in Project Management, Purchasing, Materials,
Quality and Service and establishing global
manufacturing, contract manufacturers and supply chains.
He was a pioneer in establishing facilities in the
Caribbean, Singapore, Korea, Bulgaria and Malaysia
including developing a Taiwan facility from green field
to 3500 employees and $800 million in revenue over 4
years. Fred has over a 15 years of experience in the
biotech and healthcare industries including negotiating
and managing contracts in excess of $100 million with
international contract manufacturers and suppliers.
Consulting for
15 years, Fred excels at re-engineering business,
operational and information processes and systems from
strategic planning through project management saving
over $300 million for both large and small clients
including PacBell/ SBC, Kaiser Permanente, Air New

Tom
Carter, MS CS, PMP
Principal Consultant
Tom specializes in
establishing and improving Project Management Offices,
assessing and improving organizational program and
project performance, independent project/program
assessment and rescue and in mentoring, training and
coaching project/program personnel.
He is also an
adjunct instructor for the Brandeis University where
he was a driving force in the creation of a
Master of Science degree program in Project and Program
Management. Tom worked with the Rabb School of
Continuing and Professional Studies to design the
curriculum, hire instructors and launch the program. He
is the chair of the department for this program and
teaches several courses in the curriculum.
Formerly, Mr. Carter was Vice President of Project
Management Practices at Fidelity Investments where he
managed a nine person Project Office and later led an
internal consulting group with the charter to help
Fidelity business groups understand, adapt, and
implement Project and Program Management in a commercial
environment. Tom helped organizations setup Project
Management Offices, conducted organizational
assessments of their project management capability,
managed troubled projects, and delivered consulting and
