Overview
Financial statement analysis provides the analytical tools to aid in
interpreting the key financial trends and relationships, which form the
basis for making judgments pertaining to future prospects. Proper
analysis requires that the statement user understand how unusual or
irregular business items impact both present and future results. The
statement user should also be able to recognize how accounting and
financial decision-making can influence results.
